COSTUME WORKSHOPS WITH STEVE PARKIN
This hands-on workshop teaches the basics of costuming, from
the history and function of costuming to the process in which
a costumer designs for a stage production, television show,
or movie. Teachers and students walk away with knowledge for
problem-solving, script analysis and history.
Emphasis is on:
- How a costumer researches when costuming a show
- The history of costuming and a costume’s functionality
- Other behind the scene jobs and how the costumer works
with these individuals
- The importance of thorough research, logical thinking
and high quality work
VOCAL WORKSHOPS WITH WENDY KNUDSEN
This highly interactive workshop teaches students how to
use their voice well and learn basic skills required to be
a good singer.
Emphasis is on:
- Proper breathing techniques
- Ear training, matching pitches
- Harmony
- Rhythm
- Basic sight singing
- Pitch intervals
The workshop ends with students singing familiar songs and
applying the skills they have just learned.
